Earlier in the month AOL released search logs of 650,000 US users containing around 20 million search queries for research purposes. After they have apologised ("This was a screw-up, and we're angry and upset about it,") and have been reported to the Federal Trade Commission for sharing customer information with 3rd parties without permission debate around privacy of data and personal identification is hotting up.
