I’ve been a fan of mindmapping techniques for many years and used a number of different applications on Windows and the Mac, now there is an iPhone application from MindMeister and first impressions are good.

MindJet has developed a dedicated website targetted towards higher education users to encourage mind "mapping" and sharing of those maps. All mindmaps can be downloaded and viewed with the free MindJet MindManager viewer.

Making notes, lists, todo, tasks etc. is just a way of life. I find that there is no single way of making notes that works for me (although mindmapping certainly works best) but this list of 50 online ways of taking notes is essential.
