Thinking Digital is a two and a half day conference where an eclectic mix of outstanding individuals gather together in Gateshead & Newcastle upon Tyne to take part in a conversation about technology, ideas and our future.
Thinking Digital

The website contains the conference programme and a list of speakers as well as an interesting "zeitgeist" page that draws in del.icio.us, flickr, technorati, twitter (hashtags) and vimeo feeds relating to "thinkingdigital" tags.

The conference has its own online space provided by backnetwork intended to provide a platform for networking etc. but a quick review of activity on twitter and people tweeting with #thinkingdigital highlighted some additional and valuable delegate driven dynamic "reporting" activity:
I believe that 21st Century Media have been videoing all of the talks and it would be great to see these videos after the conference is over together with the presentation slides presented in a similar vein to Startup School 08 using the Omnisio web service.

I am sure that a good percentage of the delegates attending today were unaware of all the online "Thinking Digital" that was being actively carried out around them via phones and laptops (unfortunately with battery power only) as they watched the speakers.

Thinking Digital is delivering what it set out to do and I hope that the organisers Codeworks look at ways to capture, disseminate and continue this conversation once the conference is over to make for an even better conference next year.

Re: Thinking Digital - continuing the conversation

Thinking Digital is here for 2009 but unfortunately it has sold out! However, we will soon be taking bookings for 2010.

See you there.
