Inspired by Jude Gomila’s post on Mapping Out Your Web Startup which in turn is based on Dave McClure’s Startup Metrics 101 I thought that I’d have a go at creating a framework for applying relevant metrics to – sounding less of a pirate going from AARRR! to RARR! though…
Jude Gomila posted a great blog post on Mapping Out Your Web Startup in which he developed a web startup product model based on Dave McClure’s “AARRR!: 5-Step Startup Metrics Model” (presentation from startonomics 2008 at the bottom of this post).
Inspired by Jude’s model (above) I had a first stab at creating a model to which relevant metrics could be applied (metrics removed from copy below), unfortunately the AARRR! (Acquisition, Activation, Retention, Referral & Revenue) was not working for me so my first model has ended up as being a RARR! (Referral, Accounts, Retention & Revenue) model instead with the product represented in the middle.
